After many years of working in all areas of music, Rceez has become a versatile and well-rounded talent in the industry. His music career currently revolves around working with other recognized and talented musicians in the U.S. Rceez has expanded from being a musician to producing and composing with exceptional quality. He recently founded HykCast Studios, with partner and recognized musician Samuel Hyken and is currently working on an album with MC Raven, a talented female Hip Hop artist from Miami, under the HykCast name. He currently also collaborates with Houston-based music producer and artist, Nolan VanderHaagen, and recently composed songs for the Puerto Rican duet ‘Angeles de Barrio’. He is the official DJ for the New World Symphony of Miami, a role in which he focuses on composing songs for the New World Symphony musicians and performing (spinning and on lead percussion) with them. He has also worked with Luis Enrique Echevarria, known as LE, a talented Univision Radio DJ, radio talent and percussionist.
His talent has not only earned him the respect of fellow musicians but also recognition. He has been featured on the leading Hispanic T.V. channel Univision, on Fox News and on the online music show 45 RPM (www.generation-n.com). He has also played in front of large audiences, at nationally-recognized venues and for well-known artists. Last year Rceez was a member of Streetkind, a local Miami band with a unique style, influenced mostly by New School reggae beats and well-known American bands such as Sublime, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and U2. As percussionist, bass player and DJ for the band, Rceez was able to play at various venues, including the American Airlines Arena, where the band opened the show for rappers T.I., Sean Paul and others.
As a DJ, he has also become recognized. He has been chosen to participate at one of the most recognized annual music gatherings in the world: the Winter Music Conference. Rceez is scheduled to participate as a DJ in the upcoming 2010 WMC in Miami, Fl.
Rceez also became recognized for his work in the commercial facet of the music industry. For various years, he was a producer and composer for production companies and was able to create over 200 hundred music compositions, which can be heard nationally in commercials, reality TV shows and late night television. During his years in commercial music production Rceez also created the complete audio element including music, sound effects and executing a full symphonic score for a 6 scene CG Film by Synq Animation Studios for Alienware computers.
Willing to take on any musical endeavor and always eager to try anything new to further his knowledge of music, Rceez is a unique and talented asset to every music production he has participated in. A musician at heart and soul, he enjoys every second of his performances, from playing live jazzy tunes which fills him with energy and good vibes, to letting go on hard rock track.
Rceez’s musical influences stem back to his childhood, where listening to Latin trios, Mariachis, Latin ballads, Salsa and traditional folklore music from his native country Nicaragua was part of his family’s daily life. This is where Rceez’s passion for music began but music runs in his blood. His grandfather was a local musician in their town of Estelí, his mother and grandmother were both singers and his uncle is internationally recognized salsa singer Luis Enrique. At age 10, when Rceez began taking classical piano lessons, he realized he not only had a passion for music, he had talent. After years of practicing the piano, music took a backseat during Rceez’s school years, but his passion never died. His talent awoke once again when he began college. Upon entering the Art Institute of Miami in 1998 to pursue a degree in graphic design, Rceez was surrounded by artists and musicians, at one of the best moments in Miami’s musical history. The music conference and the music scene in Miami were at their most positive level and Rceez was engulfed by the lights, the masses, and most importantly, the music. He took the next step into his music career with a pair of turntables.
Spinning and scratching came naturally to Rceez. Soon he was mixing at local parties, clubs and events, where he became recognized for the unique style of scratching he delivered with no hesitation. Rceez became a recognized DJ in other markets as well. In Puerto Rico, he worked with people in the local music scene. It was in P.R. that Rceez found his direction as an artist. His style as a musician and composer gave him recognition among local artists and after a few years, Rceez returned to Florida when he was offered a job producing music for films and T.V., a result of his reputation as a musician and composer.
It is no doubt that the fusion of musical talent and creativity that have won Rceez the respect of many musicians and that have launched him into the Miami music scene as a talented musician, composer and producer will push him to higher levels of recognition and achievement in the music industry.
