Since 1990, Reverend Pedro A. Martínez has been a missionary with the American Missionary Fellowship, America's oldest home mission founded in 1817. After completing his Master's studies in Christian Leadership at the Denver Theological Seminary (Denver Colorado), he returned to Miami and within six months became the founder and Reverend of Iglesia Cristiana Amor (founded in 1990).

Presently, Reverend Pedro A. Martínez divides his time between his duties at Iglesia Cristiana Amor and as Founder and President of Homeless Overcoming Poverty Effectively (H.O.P.E.), a non-profit faith-based organization that works to reduce homelessness in Miami Beach, Florida by organizing events to feed the homeless, provides practical assistance, identifications and opportunities for any homeless person that seeks aid.

In addition, Reverend Martínez has been actively involved in the media as an invited commentator and debater on radio and television since 2003. Television appearances on: Univisión, Telemundo, AméricaTeVe, Azteca América, MegaTV, GenTV, Miami Latin TV, and Trinity Broadcast Network. In addition he was a cast member of La Cosa Nostra from 2006-2009. Among the radio stations he had appeared are: 88.3 FM, 89.7 FM, 92.3 FM, 95.7 FM, 98.3 FM, 106.7 FM, 6.70 AM, 8:30 AM, 10:20 AM and 11:40 AM.
